Hotel Saint Vincent
A Lower Garden District convent school turned fashion-forward hotel with real neighborhood gravity.
Lower Garden District
Hotel Saint Vincent is not shy, which is part of the point. The former infant asylum and convent school has been turned into a lush, highly designed hotel that feels more Milan-by-way-of-Magazine than French Quarter antique.
The strongest reason to stay is the Lower Garden District location. You can walk to Magazine Street, the Irish Channel, and the Garden District proper, then come back to a pool, a courtyard, and hotel restaurants with enough pull to attract locals.
It is a stylish stay, not a quiet historical reenactment. If you want soft edges and a little spectacle without losing the neighborhood, this is the argument.
