The Chloe
A St. Charles Avenue mansion hotel with enough Uptown ease to keep the Quarter at arm's length.
Uptown
The Chloe is the New Orleans boutique hotel for people who understand that St. Charles Avenue is not a compromise. Fourteen rooms in a restored 19th-century mansion, a pool behind the house, a restaurant and bar that locals actually use, and the streetcar running out front like a metronome.
The mood is more house party than hotel lobby. Rooms lean romantic without turning costume, and the public spaces are useful all day: coffee in the morning, a quiet drink before dinner, a last one on the porch if the night still has weather in it.
Stay here if your trip is Uptown-weighted: Commander's, Audubon Park, Magazine Street, dinner at Lilette or Clancy's. Skip it if you need to be able to stumble home from Bourbon. That is not what this house is for.
